Hillbilly Jilly Jiffy Fast Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients
● 1 15oz. can of sliced peaches
● 1 stick of butter
● 1 cup milk
● 1 cup flour
● 1 teaspoon salt
● 2 teaspoons baking powder
● 1 cup sugar
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°
2. Place butter cut in chunks, in 13”X9” baking dish and place in
oven until melted – under 5 minutes.
3. Mix all ingredients well – except melted butter and peaches
4. Pour batter into center of baking dish – do not stir
5. Add sliced peaches on top of batter – do not stir, but nudge
peaches to distribute evenly
6. Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes or a bit longer until desired
crispness is reached

1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 t salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 lg can peaches + juice
*I used 6 cups of sliced fresh peaches
Well look who I found here in 2026!!! Friend I have never done this with canned peaches but I am going to now! I was not bless this year with fresh peaches from our tree sadly. But, if you posted this I know it’s good. Thanks!
I always come back to this video for the recipe. Thank you. Someone just posted Dolly’s cuppa cuppa cake recipe from Steel Magnolias and it reminded me of this recipe- I prefer peaches to fruit cocktail- and that recipe does not use milk.
