I recommend watching the entire video-(I know it’s long) but this will give you step by step instructions on how it is done. If you don’t cook the pudding mixture long enough, it will be runny and won’t firm properly – if you don’t keep it stirred, it will burn. Thanks for watching!

Ingredients/RECIPE:

4 large egg yolks
1 cup white sugar
2 Tablespoons self rising flour
2 cups of milk (whole or 2%)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract, added last.

Other Ingredients:
Vanilla Wafers (amount depends on the dish)
2-3 Ripe Bananas

(I use a 2 quart dish)
Layers are vanilla wafers, banana, pudding mixture, and repeat.
Allow to sit in the fridge for a few hours until firm and cold. Pudding will thicken a little more after it cools.

  1. You right ma’am the homemade banana put in from scratch is the better way the Insta kind it is don’t taste right don’t taste right at all. It’s like you messed up the whole banana pudding into me. The best way to make your put pot is the homemade made from scratch and I was raised the same way too ma’am that’s the best way ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💫💫💫💫💫😋👍🏽

  2. Thank you. Finally banana pudding the way I remember my nana (great-grandma) making it. The “no-bake” is good, but doesn’t compare.
