Creamy homemade custard, extra vanilla wafers, and sliced bananas come together to make the perfect Southern banana pudding. This recipe is budget-friendly since you’ll likely already have most of the necessary ingredients like flour, sugar, milk, and eggs, which means all you need to buy is vanilla wafers and bananas. Whether you decide to top it with homemade whipped cream–which Nicole recommends–or with homemade meringue, this dessert is sure to be a favorite.

How to Make Creamy Southern Banana Pudding | You Can Cook That | Allrecipes.com
So delicious. That’s my favorite dessert. ❤️😊
This is how my southern grandma used to make it. Brings back so many memories
Egg whites… pavlova, separate treat 😊
Butter makes it best!!!
You can’t make meringue with store-bought eggs they are blanked up by being pasteurized before you even get it ,useless. Double boiler is for French meringue.
